Hello shipmates and interested parties. Roz and I have been working on plans for the 2025 Sea Leopard Reunion in Groton CT. Dates are Mon 8/11/25-Fri 8/15/25 with checkout on 8/15/25.. As Host Hotel we have decided to book the Hilton Garden Inn 224 Gold Star Highway (route 184), Groton, CT 06340 877-504-2599. They gave us a discount rate of $180-$190 plus tax vs $202-$208 per night. To secure any discount, a minimum of 10 rooms with a minimum of 2 night stays need to have been booked.
We are working with Groton Subvets to schedule a luncheon and with the Nautilus Museum to tour the museum the boat (USS Nautilus SSN-571), and for the tolling of the bell to honor those on Eternal Patrol since the last reunion.
If we can get some help from someone affiliated with the Groton sub base or perhaps one of you who may have contact at the base to facilitate the clearance process, we are hoping to also get on the base for a tour and possibly to tour a sub.
